Check your 2026 take-home pay before negotiating salary
A higher gross salary may produce a smaller cash-flow increase than expected because income tax and Korea’s four major social insurance programs are deducted. This calculator converts annual gross salary into an estimated monthly take-home amount for job changes, salary negotiations, and household budgeting.
Key features
- Monthly and yearly take-home pay estimates
- Separate monthly income and local income tax estimate
- Employee pension, health, long-term care, and employment insurance deductions
- Optional monthly non-taxable pay
- Simplified adjustments for dependents and children
How to use the calculator
1. Enter annual gross salary
Example: 50,000,000 KRW
2. Enter monthly non-taxable pay, if any
Example: 200,000 KRW for eligible recurring items such as a meal allowance.
3. Enter dependents and children
Dependents exclude you but must include eligible children. For a spouse and one child, enter 2 dependents and 1 child.

This is not an exact reproduction of Korea’s official monthly payroll withholding table. Actual withholding can differ due to employer allowances, dependent eligibility, the selected withholding percentage, and year-end tax settlement.
Input and empty-state guidance
Enter whole KRW amounts. The calculator explains missing, negative, fractional, oversized, or inconsistent values instead of silently correcting them. Monthly non-taxable pay cannot exceed monthly gross pay, and the children count cannot exceed total dependents. Use Try example for a sample calculation or Clear all to return to the empty state.

FAQ
Why can the result differ from my payslip?
Allowances, tax-exempt items, mid-year employment changes, payroll withholding choices, and year-end settlement vary by employer and employee.
Can freelancers or business owners use this calculator?
This calculator is designed for Korean employment income. Business and freelance income require a different tax calculation.
How should I enter a bonus?
You may add a fixed annual bonus to gross annual salary for a rough estimate. Variable bonuses can produce a larger difference from actual payroll.
Why is calculation blocked when children exceed dependents?
Eligible children must also be part of the dependent count. For example, with one spouse and one child, enter 2 dependents and 1 child.
