What if a website rejects symbols?

Can I hide passwords on screen?

Yes. Turn off Show generated passwords on screen to mask the textarea and result list while keeping copy buttons available.

Can I generate passwords without symbols?

Yes, but removing symbols reduces the character pool and can lower the difficulty of guessing.

Is the strength estimate absolute?

No. It is a reference score based on length and character pool size. Real account security also depends heavily on password reuse and whether 2FA is enabled.

Can bulk generation create duplicates?

The generator prioritizes unique results where possible. If the character pool is very small or the length is short, the available combination space can still be limited.

Empty results, input errors, and hidden passwords

Use whole-number lengths from 4 to 128 and counts from 1 to 20. Blank, fractional or out-of-range values and selecting no character types clear the results and show an error. Changing the length, count, character types, symbol set, or similar-character exclusion clears old passwords so you cannot accidentally copy a result made with previous settings. The visibility option only changes the display.

Passwords are sampled uniformly from the full pool, rejecting candidates that omit a selected type. Approximate entropy and combination counts account for this requirement; they are not a security guarantee.

Hiding replaces displayed characters with dots, not encryption. Passwords remain in page memory, and individual or bulk copy still copies the real values. Clear result does not erase a previously copied clipboard.

Why are results empty at first and masked after generation?

The page waits for you to click Generate passwords or press Enter in a number field. Generated passwords are masked by default, not missing. Turn on Show generated passwords on screen to reveal them; the copy buttons work while they are hidden.
