Auto detect recommends a direction from the ratio of English letters and Hangul/jamo characters. When you paste multiple lines, each line is detected and recovered separately. For very short text, abbreviations, or Korean/English mistakes mixed inside one line, manual direction selection may be more accurate.

Notes for accurate recovery
Auto detect compares English-key characters with Hangul or jamo characters and chooses the likely direction. If the input is very short, contains mostly numbers, or mixes both directions in one line, switch the direction manually and compare the result.
Numbers, spaces, and ordinary symbols are left alone where possible, so the tool works well for search terms, filenames, chat messages, and short titles. Input is limited to 20,000 characters; split longer text before recovering it.

FAQ
Is auto detect always correct?
No. Auto detect estimates the direction line by line. Very short words, strings with many numbers or symbols, and text that mixes Korean and English layout mistakes inside one line can be more accurate when you choose the direction manually.
Are spaces and symbols preserved?
Yes. The tool changes only mappable Korean and English keys and keeps spaces and common symbols where possible.
What happens if I enter only numbers?
The tool shows that there are almost no convertible keys and leaves numbers and symbols as they are. It is best for text that actually includes a Korean/English keyboard-layout mistake.
Why does the result sometimes stay the same?
If the input has only numbers, symbols, or text that is already in the intended layout, there may be no changed characters. The status message will tell you when nothing changed.
Should I use it for passwords?
No. Even though the conversion runs in your browser, avoid putting passwords, authentication codes, or other sensitive secrets into utility tools. Use it for ordinary text, searches, titles, and chat messages.
